Dr. Dineen Foundation Donates to Camp Kesem Stony Brook

The Dr. Dineen Foundation has donated to Stony Brook’s first annual Camp Kesem.  Camp Kesem is a college student run summer camp for children with a parent who has (or has had) cancer.  It is a free week-long sleep away camp that allows children ages 6-16 to have a fun-filled week while being provided the extra support and attention that they need.  Campers participate in a range of activities including arts and crafts, swimming, nature hikes, field sports, and various other nighttime activities, including “cabin chats” in which the campers share their stories and express their emotions with peers in similar family situations.
The Dr. Dineen Foundation is thrilled to have been able to help out such a worthy cause and important need for these children.
