The Dr. PJ Dineen Memorial Foundation has donated two hundred fleece blankets to Stony Brook Hospital Oncology Center for the patients to use and keep as their own. The fleece blankets featured the Foundation logo of the late Dr. Dineen’s 1955 Chevy Bel-Air and the blankets came in a variety of colors. The blankets were delivered by Patrick Dineen Jr. and volunteer Bryan McCready who met with Linda Bily, the Cancer Patient Advocacy & Community Outreach Coordinator for Stony Brook Cancer Center.
Since this fleece blanket donation, the Dr. PJ Dineen Foundation has developed a working relationship with Stony Brook Cancer Center which has led many other great causes and events between these two organizations (stories to follow).
