On Saturday, August 27, 2011, the Suffolk PRIDE in Athletics for Life (PAL) Ice Hockey
organization held its second annual Walk-A-Thon held at The Rinx @ Hidden Pond Park
in Hauppauge, NY. This yearʼs walk was benefiting two organizations, one being the
Dr. Patrick J. Dineen Memorial Foundation. This officially marked the start of the Dr. PJ
Dineen Foundation, and there was no better way to start the fundraising than with
people from the friendly hockey community in which the Dineen family has been
involved with for the past 18 years.
Every team in the organization was well
represented by players, family members, coaches, and friends that all came out to show
support for the organization.
Special thanks goes out to the entire Suffolk PAL ice hockey organization and the many
volunteers who made this great day possible. There was no better way to mark the
start of the Dr. Patrick J. Dineen Memorial Foundation than at The Rinx, a place that Dr.
Dineen and his family had enjoyed for years.
