On Saturday, November 18, 2011, hundreds of people enjoyed food, drinks, and pre-holiday merriment at Farrell’s Restaurant in East Islip, NY. This location is special to family and friends of Dr. Dineen because of a Brooklyn-Dineen-Original Farrell’s connection that is over 50 years old. Local merchants and friends of the Foundation generously donated over 45 baskets and prizes. The day included Chinese and silent auctions and a 50/50 raffle. Overall, the festive event raised more than $10,000 for the Foundation. The Dr. PJ Dineen Foundation hopes to make the Farrell’s fundraiser an annual event. Thank you to Jim Houlihan, Peter Murray and the rest of the staff at Farrell’s Restaurant, and of course all of those that came out to enjoy the event and show your support!
